Tokeny Solutions Hire Previous Banker as Part of Their Capital Markets Vision

Tokeny Solutions has announced the new hire of Damien Fontanille, who will join the leading fintech as Business Development Director. Damien’s role will cover the French, British and Italian markets and he brings with him high level institutional sales experience. He has held senior positions at RBS and Natixis in London and has joined from ALLINDEX, a technology solutions provider for the index industry.

As part of their vision of digitizing capital markets, Tokeny Solutions recently announced the hire of Bastiaan Don and Damien Fontanille joins to further strengthen their position in Europe. Founded in 2017, the Luxembourg-based fintech is Europe’s leading provider of tokenization technology. They have worked with over 35 offerings across real estate, debt, equity, funds and utility and welcomed Euronext as their strategic investor last summer. Their success has been recognised with awards from the likes of KPMG, FinTech 50 and most recently Sifted, a list of top European fintechs backed by the Financial Times.

The French and British markets have been proven to be very proactive in the space and regulators have given clear guidance for industry actors. In France, a regulated sandbox was recently proposed to the EU by the AMF, with the specific goal of developing the security token sector. Last year, in the UK, the FCA gave clear guidance on security tokens and said they will be regulated in the exact same way securities are.
