Who are you?
My name is Ben, I was born in the UK and grew up near Bristol in the south west of England. I have always been fascinated by technology and their inner workings; in short, a nerd. My career started in 2003 as a junior web developer, but I started playing with code as young as 8. I currently live in Sant Cugat Del Valles, north of Barcelona in Spain.
How did you land at Tokeny Solutions?
I was invited by a previous developer to the team; tired of working for agencies on simple projects, I leaped at the opportunity and challenge presented by Tokeny. Initially as a contractor, but converted to a full time employee, because I believe in the mission!
How would you describe working at Tokeny Solutions?
It is the best job I have had, I am given a lot of freedom to apply my passion, when and where I choose. The team is very friendly and always open to ideas and discussion, and the scope of the Tokeny vision brings challenges I’ve never seen before.
What are you most passionate about in life?
Ever since I was a child, I’ve broken things apart (to the annoyance of my parents) to understand how they work. This has pushed me to learn about many topics from astrophysics and quantum mechanics, to psychology and philosophy. I also have a drive towards efficiency and accuracy, which lends itself well to my career.
What is your ultimate dream?
To transcend my mortal form and explore every time and space in the universe. More seriously, to help where I can to make life better, to be able to support myself and others.
What would you change in the world if you could?
To make people more reasonable.
