Tell us about yourself!
Hi, my name is Fedor, and I’m a QA Engineer at Tokeny. I prefer the QA Engineer position over Tester because QA involves more than just testing. While testing is a significant aspect, QA also encompasses communication, processes, and creating an error-prone environment.
What were you doing before Tokeny and what inspired you to join the team?
Before joining Tokeny, I held various QA roles, ranging from QA to Team Lead, in several companies in Russia. However, in 2022, I unexpectedly relocated to Spain and had to restart my QA career.
The concept of revolutionizing the traditional finance sector intrigued me, prompting my decision to join Tokeny. As a QA professional, part of my role involves “ruining” someone else’s code, but only to enhance its quality and resilience. Essentially, we strive to challenge the current system to pave the way for a newer and superior one.
How would you describe working at Tokeny?
Fun, educational, and collaborative. With a diverse team, each member brings their unique life and career experiences and expertise, fostering continuous learning and knowledge sharing every day.
What are you most passionate about in life?
Sleep, haha! I cherish a good 10-11 hours at least once a week. But on a serious note, learning something new is what really motivates me to get out of bed every morning. Of course, I also adore spending time with my wife and our cat (fortunately, she can’t read, so she won’t find out she’s second on the list!). Additionally, I’m a bit obsessed with sports, both playing and watching American football.
What is your ultimate dream?
To borrow from Archimedes: “Give me a point that is firm and immovable, and I will fall asleep.” So, I don’t have a single ultimate dream, but rather an endless list of tasks to accomplish to ensure my family’s happiness.
What advice would you give to future Tokeny employees?
Don’t be afraid to experiment and never give up.
What gets you excited about Tokeny’s future?
The borderlessness of it all. It opens up endless possibilities beyond any limits we can currently dream or imagine.
